Back in October, Chase increased the Chase Ink Business Cash®  and Chase Ink Business Unlimited®  card bonuses to 90k points after spending $6,000 in 3 months. Before that, the standard offer on this card was 75k points after spending $7,500 in 3 months.

Since then, this has been our favorite offer! We hoped it would never come to an end! But Chase has let us know that they are ending this offer on 3/21 at 9 AM EST.

There are a lot of reasons we love the Chase Ink cards.

  • There are two different Chase Ink cards and you can open at least one of each to earn even more Ultimate Rewards. If you have a business with an EIN number, you can even open them with both your EIN and your SSN. Refer these back and forth with your partner to earn referral bonuses!
  • Chase Ultimate Rewards are our favorite flexible rewards currency. They transfer to 11 airline partners and 3 hotel partners. Some of our favorites are Hyatt, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. You can check out 9 of our favorite ways to use Ultimate Rewards and download the full list of transfer partners here.

Q&As

How do I apply?

If your partner or friend has a referral link, apply through their referral link. Chase has updated the referral links so that you can earn a 40k point referral bonus (up to 200k), but the referral link is only generating a 75k offer. If you are referring to a partner, your household will still end up ahead by using the referral offer, but if you are referring to a friend, they will get a lower bonus.

If you don’t have a referral link, we’d appreciate if you’d apply through one of our affiliate links. This helps us keep all our content free.

What if I don’t have a Sapphire card yet?

What if I don’t have a Sapphire card but my spouse does?

You can call Chase to move your Ultimate Rewards from your Ink card(s) to your spouse’s account so that you can get more value out of them! You can combine points across your household.

Can I have more than one Ink Business card?

Yes, you can have each Ink card for each business. I you have an EIN, you could apply for each card under your EIN and also with your SSN as a sole proprietor.

Should I open the Business Unlimited or Business Cash card?

If you shop at office stores (Staples and/or Office Max/Office Depot), then you will get 5x at those stores with the Business Cash card. Some people buy gift cards at office stores with their Business Cash card to get the 5x.

If you don’t shop at office stores or don’t want to buy a lot of gift cards, the Ink Business Unlimited is a good choice, earning a flat 1.5 cents per point on most purchases.

I’m not sure I can hit the $6k spend requirement

Check out our tips for meeting a high minimum spend. Pay attention to PayPal Bill Pay, too! You may be able to pay property taxes and other bills with no fee.

Can I put personal expenses on a business card?

Putting personal expenses on a business card is common. Credit card issuers do not report your spending to the IRS, or anyone else, so there are no tax implications of putting personal spend on a business card. However, if you have actual business expenses, it’s your responsibility to track business expenses for tax purposes.

  1. So these points can only be used for awards if they are transferred to a chase sapphire card? That is – they need to be transferred to ultimate reward points to be used?

    Thanks
