Map: Hyatts with Club Lounges

Categories: MapsBy Last Updated: February 18, 2025

Hyatt Club Lounges are one of our favorite hotel amenities especially as family travelers. It’s also a great possibility for someone who is not a Hyatt Globalist to enjoy free breakfast at more hotels. But Hyatt website or app doesn’t currently have a way to filter properties by which ones have a Club Lounge.

Our team worked to create this custom map that shows all the Hyatts we could find with open club lounges to make them easier to find and book. It is currently accurate in North America and we are adding locations throughout the world.

If you have a location we missed, please leave it in the comments!

Map: Hyatts with Club Lounges

This map is best viewed full screen from a computer.

Click the [ ] in the top right corner to view in another window. This is the best way to see it.

You will then be able to sort by hotel category. These are in rainbow order (red = cheapest).

We have also included notes on whether or not booking a suite gets you club lounge access.

What’s In a Club Lounge?

Club lounges vary by location. Generally speaking, they will include a buffet breakfast and cocktail hour in the evening. Cocktail hour typically includes some sort of alcoholic drinks as well as appetizers. These appetizers are often enough for our family to consider it to be dinner.

Generally speaking, the club lounges in Asia will be much more extensive than those in North America. Of the Hyatt club lounges we have been to, the one at the Grand Hyatt in Fukuoka, Japan was the most extensive — with lots of made to order items and delicious food.

Booking Hyatt Club Lounge Access With Points

When available, you can book directly into a room marked as having “Club Access” for a few more points. Check the pricing and availability to see if this is an option for you.

A Category 1 hotel in standard pricing costs 5,000 points per night. A club lounge access room would cost 7,000 points. This is when it makes sense to check if suites provide club lounge access (we have noted this on the map). Suites cost 8,000 points a night. So it may well be worth booking a suite to enjoy an upgraded room, too!

Club Lounge Award Chart

Booking Hyatt Club Lounge Access With Cash

If you’re paying with cash for a room, just like when booking with points, you can book directly into a room marked as having “Club Access” for a few more points (if available). Check the pricing and availability to see if this is an option for you.

Booking with Club Access Awards

If you earn 20 Qualifying Nights with Hyatt in a calendar year, you will earn a Milestone Reward. You can choose from three awards at this level — 2,000 points back on your next Hyatt Place or Hyatt House stay, 2 Club Access Awards, or a $25 Hyatt FIND credit.

You can also earn 2 more Club Access Awards at 30 Qualifying Nights.

The 2 Club Access awards have the most value potential if you have plans to use or gift them.

Each award can be applied to a stay of up to 7 nights. It’s important to note that you cannot use these awards if you booked the stay using a Free Night Certificate. You *can* use them if you book with points, but not a Free Night Certificate.

You earn Qualifying Nights when you stay at a Hyatt hotel. Each night of your stay equals one Qualifying Night (unless you are lucky and have a promotion) You can also earn Qualifying Nights with Hyatt credits cards.

If you hold the The World of Hyatt Credit Card, you will automatically earn 5 Qualifying Nights each year. You will also earn two additional Elite Qualifying nights for every $5,000 you spend on the card.

Annual Fee:

annual_fees
  • Provides 1 free night certificate every year on account anniversary (up to a category 4 hotel)
  • If you spend $15,000 per year on the card you will earn an additional free night certificate

This is the first new offer we’ve seen on this card since 2019. I love keeping this card for the annual hotel night certificate. This is a great offer if you are planning to stay at a Category 1-4 Hyatt in the next year! Standard pricing for Category 4 hotels is 15,000 points per night!

But a few things to note:

The free nights can not be combined with Club Access Awards, so this won’t work to use these nights and also trying to upgrade those nights to Club Lounge Access (unless you already have Globalist status). You also can’t use a Suite Upgrade award with these.

These free nights will expire a year after you earn them.

We consider this card a long term keeping. You’ll get a Free Night Award every year on your account anniversary (for a Category 1-4 hotel) and instant Discoverist status (which is helpful for guaranteeing breakfast at Hyatt Places not that it’s not a guarantee). For anyone trying to earn Globalist or trying to earn 20 Elite Night credits to get Club Lounge Access, this card is a also must! You’ll get 5 elite night credits added to your tracker just for holding the card.

In 2019 when it offered 40K after $3K in 3 months + 20K after $6K total in 6 months. From 2019-January 2024, the offer was 30k.

If you hold the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, you will earn 5 Qualifying Nights per $10,000 you spend. This is the card we use for any spend aren’t doing towards a minimum spend or bonus category spend in order to help us earn Milestone Rewards and Globalist status.

Annual Fee:

annual_fees
  • Up to 9 points total per $1 spent at Hyatt – 4 Bonus Points per $1 on qualified purchases at Hyatt hotels & up to 5 Base Points per $1 from Hyatt as a World of Hyatt member
  • 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent in your top three spend categories each quarter.
  • 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent on fitness club and gym memberships
  • 1 Bonus Point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
  • Up to $100 in Hyatt statement credits — spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property and earn $50 statement credits up to two times each anniversary year.
  • 5 Tier-Qualifying night credits toward status and Milestone rewards for every $10,000 you spend in a calendar year.
  • World of Hyatt Discoverist status for as long as your account is open. Plus, Discoverist status to up to five employees
  • Member FDIC

I don’t like that it has a higher annual fee than the personal version and doesn’t come with an annual free night. However, this card is a great option for high spenders on a business card who want to become Globalists. Since you’ll earn 5 elite night credits for every $10,000 you spend, it helps get those 60 elite night credits you need for Globalist faster. The two $50 credits per year are a decent benefit — if you spend money on food at Hyatt properties they are easy to redeem.

When this card was released, it had an offer for 75k points that required $10,000 spend. In fall 2021 and 2022, it also offered double elite night credits. The standard offer is 60,000 points after spending $5,000. In fall 2023, there was an offer that added another 15k points for spending $12,000 total. The same offer returned in fall 2024.

Gifting Club Access Awards

As of January 1, 2024 you can now give and receive Club Access awards to any World of Hyatt member. To do so, you can navigate to the “Award” section of your profile. Then you select the award you want to give, select “Gift” and then enter the member’s number and name.

Gifting a Club Access Award

These gifts are not reversible. Then the member who receives it will need to call Hyatt at 1-800-994-9288 to attach the award to an existing reservation.

Each Club Access award can be applied to a stay of up to 7 nights. It’s important to note that you cannot use these awards if you booked the stay using a Free Night Certificate. You *can* use them if you book with points, but not a Free Night Certificate.

Best Club Lounges

This is of course subjective but it’s important to note that not all club lounges are created equally.

Two very popular hotels to redeem Club Lounge Access for families are the Grand Hyatt Kauai and the Hyatt Regency Maui (see our review) . Getting free breakfast and free dinner in Hawaii will really cut down your vacation costs! As category 7 hotels, these hotels cost 30,000 points per night for the standard rate. Club lounge access will cost an additional 9,000 points per night (39,000 points total). If you can use a Club Lounge Access certificate for a 7 night stay, you’re getting a huge value!

In February, we are staying for 6 nights at the Hyatt Regency Merida which is the only Category 1 Hyatt with a Club Lounge in North America. From photos I’ve seen online, it looks like it might also be one of the best Club lounge breakfasts in North America so I can’t wait to try it and report back.

I’m looking at the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen, which only seems to offer club access for points as an upgrade to a cash booking. Same for suites. Is there a way to get club access at this property just with points if I am not a globalist?

Hyatt Regency Villahermosa is also a cat 1. I’ve never stayed there though. Merida lounge is pretty solid.

I am new to achieving milestone rewards with Hyatt. Quick question. For Club Access Award, if a Hyatt has a club but offers their breakfast in a different venue (ie a restaurant) does the club access award then include breakfast? Or does club access only include what is actually in the club?

This really seems to vary by hotel. I dont’ think they have a clear policy on it so I’d recommend contacting the hotel directly to confirm!

Which Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt hotels around the world are the most value for money? I want to use my Lounge Access at the cheapest hotels where the lounge experience is the best.

    • Katie Holden September 4, 2024 at 11:01 am - Reply

Very generally speaking, you’ll have the best lounge experiences in Asia. There are also a number of Category 1 options in Asia. If you narrow it down, you might be able to find YouTube walk throughs or blog reviews of those specific lounges. We personally went to 2 lounges in Japan and they were both great!

I called to confirm that the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis club lounge is open now (as of 9/24/24). Spoke to someone at the front desk, who said it is open Monday-Friday (closes at 2pm on Fridays). On the weekends, you’d still receive the breakfast benefit, but at their restaurant instead of the lounge.

Dreams Jardin Tropical in Tenerife has a Club

    • Katie Holden January 7, 2025 at 8:31 am - Reply

oh interesting, I didn’t realize you could use the club access certificates at the Dreams properties since you can’t at Zivas/Zilaras. But the app does seem to let me add them. I will look into this and see if we can add all the Dreams properties to the map!

      • Erin R January 17, 2025 at 8:28 am

This seems to be very resort specific – I could not add a CAA to Dreams Jade, for example, but Dreams Sapphire would have allowed it to be added. It usually gives “Preferred” benefits if you can add it.

      • Katie Holden January 24, 2025 at 7:38 am

thanks. We may have a team member go through and just try to test each one eventually.

Machester grand hyatt does not accept lounge access awards unless you are a globalist.

    • Katie Holden January 15, 2025 at 11:58 am - Reply

When I’m logged into the app or online it does allow me to add Club Access awards at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. This may be a situation where a rep tells you no but since you can now do it yourself on the app, it’s possible!

  10. Erin R January 17, 2025 at 8:27 am - Reply

Hyatt Centric Malta just opened (or will soon) and allows a CAA to be applied, and has rooms that list club access.

      Thanks! Added this!!

Can confirm that Hyatt Regency Coralville (Iowa City) Lounge is indeed open and now shows up on the app. We stayed last night: hours were 6:30am – 9:00pm. Coffee machine, tea, yogurt, fruit, and non-alcoholic drinks were available throughout the day. Cookies and trail mix in the evening. No attendant that we saw. Breakfast is a coupon for the value of the full breakfast buffet ($18) per person. Also comes with one free drink card per person (bar or Starbucks).

It appears there is a happy hour where drinks and some food is discounted each evening. Weekdays appeared to have better deals than weekends.

thank you! I will update the map!

    Some club additions..
Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego – stayed there beginning of February. Had great selection for breakfast!
Thompson Central Park New York – stayed there beginning of March. Enjoyed the cold beverages through out the day.
I’m a globalist, but both hotels have club access room options!

    • Katie Holden April 11, 2025 at 11:45 am - Reply

thank you! At Thompson Central Park, were you given access to the Upper Stories lounge? My understanding was that this isn’t typically extended to Globalists but I’ve never stayed myself.
