Why this card might (or might not) be right for you.
With the Pay Yourself Back option for travel, a 75K bonus on this card can give you $930+ towards any travel expense! This has made it a great option for covering cruises, Airbnbs, or other travel expenses. You can also use the Aeroplan miles to get some great deals on flights, including on Star Alliance partners.
Aeroplan has some other sweet spot options as well that we cover in our flight guides.
Holding this card gives you automatic Aeroplan status -- besides some flight perks, this also gives you the option to do a Hyatt Globalist challenge every year where you would stay 20 nights in a 90 day period and earn Globalist status.
This card "refreshed" in September 2026 and for most readers just got more expensive with perks they won't use as much -- and losing some favorites on December 31, 2026 -- like the 10% transfer bonus from Chase.
