1 Free Night Award each year after your card account anniversary, valid at properties costing up to 35,000 points per night. As of March 12, 2026, this can be 'topped up' with up to 25,000 additional points from your Bonvoy account, allowing redemptions at properties costing up to 60,000 points per night. It's easy to redeem at hotels that cost $250+ per night — essentially a half-price hotel night. Certificates expire 12 months after issuance.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance ($5K/Person, $10K/Trip)
Reimbursement up to $5,000 per traveler and $10,000 per trip for prepaid, non-refundable passenger fares if your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather or other covered situations.
Trip Delay Reimbursement ($500 After 12+ Hour Delay)
If your common carrier travel is delayed more than 12 hours or requires an overnight stay, you're covered for unreimbursed expenses (meals, lodging, etc.) up to $500 per covered traveler.
Baggage Delay Insurance ($100/Day for 5 Days)
Reimburses up to $100 a day for up to 5 days for essential purchases (toiletries, clothing) when baggage is delayed over 6 hours.
Lost Luggage Reimbursement (Up to $3,000/Traveler)
Provides reimbursement up to $3,000 per covered traveler for the cost to repair or replace checked or carry-on baggage that is lost, damaged or stolen during a covered trip.
Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver (Secondary)
Charge the entire rental cost to your card and decline the rental company's collision insurance. Secondary coverage in the U.S. (your personal insurance pays first); primary internationally.
Purchase Protection (120 Days)
Purchase protection covers eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft.
Extended Warranty (+1 Year on 3-Yr-or-Less Warranties)
Adds an additional year to eligible U.S. manufacturer's warranties of 3 years or less, up to a maximum of 4 years from date of purchase.

Why this card might (or might not) be right for you.
If you like Marriott, this is a keeper card — we find that the annual free night is easy to redeem at hotels that cost $250+ per night. That's a half price hotel! Some people prefer the welcome bonus that includes certificates for up to 50k per night, but keep in mind these expire within a year of earning so you need to have a redemption in mind. I like this card even better for the pathway it provides to getting a Ritz-Carlton® Card which has great lounge benefits.
