And for a lot of people the fact that they have a new opportunity to earn more of them with this card will be a huge win. This is a huge spend requirement but you do have 6 months to spend it.

    The Capital One Spark Cash Plus is a great option if you have a lot of expenses coming up. The current welcome offer offers a hefty $2,000 cash back bonus.

    I like that the annual fee is waived in the first year and you still get a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit in the first year as well as those two guest passes to United Club!

    United upped their pricing for flights booked with points in 2023, so that was a disappointment to see (though it is part of points inflation).

    If you are very committed to flying United/Star Alliance partners and have a large family, this card could definitely make sense. If you fly a variety of airlines, it would be hard to get the value of the annual fee out of this card.
