Link These Accounts to Earn Points on Autopilot

Categories: Earning PointsBy Last Updated: October 1, 2025

Take a few minutes to set up these links right now! While none of these offer a huge bonus or number of points, it's easy to set these up so you can earn without a second thought.

Delta and Starbucks

You can link your Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks accounts to earn 1 mile per $1 spent at Starbucks.

If you link your accounts before 3/31/2023, you'll earn 200 Stars for new Starbucks Rewards Members (must make a qualifying purchase) and 500 miles for new SkyMiles Members.

Grabbing a coffee before your flight? On days that you are flying Delta, you will earn 2 stars per $1 spent on qualifying Starbucks purchases. If you are paying with a registered, preloaded Starbucks card, you'll earn 4 stars per $1 spent.

Delta and Airbnb

This one isn't automatic but I wanted to include it because it is an easy way to earn a little extra on your Airbnb stays.

Link your Delta SkyMiles and Airbnb accounts to earn 1 SkyMile per $1 spent on Airbnb.

Earning SkyMiles with Airbnb bookings is NOT automatic. You will need to start each booking through Delta, and enter your Delta SkyMiles number, to earn SkyMiles.

Lyft and Delta, Hilton, Alaska, or Bilt (pick one)

Turn your Lyft rides into miles or points! Lyft has partnered with Delta, Hilton, Alaska, and Bilt so that you can earn miles or points for each dollar spent on Lyft rides.

Choose to link your Lyft account with one of these loyalty programs. Each loyalty program has a different earning structure.

Note that you do not have to have a credit card with any of these to earn the points, just a free loyalty account.

Pay for your Lyft ride with your eligible Chase card to earn more Chase Ultimate Rewards®, through September 2027. Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders get $10 monthly credit for Lyft, plus earn 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards® on Lyft rides. Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card holders earn 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards® on Lyft.

This had a major refresh in June 2025. For some people these changes are great, for others they are tough to swallow.

The annual fee is now the highest of all premium cards. If you can use the credits/coupons — you'll come out ahead! But if they don't match your typical spending, this might not be a great card for you. Here are the key "coupons" to consider:

  • $300 travel credit annually (easy to use!)
  • Complimentary Apple TV+ and Apple Music through 6/22/27
  • $150 in statement credits every six months for a maximum of $300 annually for dining at restaurants that are part of Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables.
  • $150 in statement credits every six months (for a maximum of $300 annually) for Stubhub or viagogo
  • A total of $25 per month (in 3 credits) for DoorDash + complimentary access to DashPass which unlocks $0 delivery fees and lower service fees (through December 31, 2027).

Use our benefits calculator at the bottom of this article to see if it makes sense for you!

This is one of the few cards that still gives you access to Priority Pass experiences (restaurants were discontinued as of July 1, 2024). Most other cards just give access to the lounges but if you frequent an airport with a Priority pass experience, this benefit can be worth a lot to you! It also gives access to a growing network of Sapphire Lounges.

The travel credit is also very easy to use which is a huge plus.

An offer for 100k + $500 for Chase Travel ran when it relaunched from July to late August 2025.

An offer for 75k points ended in June 2024. A publicly available online offer for 80,000 points ran in December 2022.

An offer for 100,000 points ended in 2019.

This card was launched in 2016 with a 100,000 point offer. After that the standard became 60.000.

Uber and Marriott

Link your Marriott and Uber accounts to earn Marriott Bonvoy points on Uber Premium rides or Uber Eats.

Link Uber and Marriott

In order to link your accounts, go to Settings in the Uber app, click on Marriott Bonvoy, click on "Link account," and sign in to your Marriott account.

You'll earn 3 points per $1 on Uber Premium rides (includes Uber XL, Uber Black, Uber SUV and Uber Comfort), 6 points per $1 when you order more than $25 from Uber Eats while you're staying at a Marriott property, and 2 points per $1 on all other Uber Eats orders over $25.

Don't have an Uber account yet? Download Uber or Uber Eats, set up an account, and link it to your Marriott Bonvoy account by June 30, 2023 to earn 1,000 bonus Marriott points.

American Airlines and Hyatt

If you are an elite World of Hyatt member, you can link your Hyatt and AAdvantage accounts to earn one Hyatt bonus point per dollar spend on qualifying American Airlines flights.

If you are an elite member of World of Hyatt and AAdvantage, you can also earn one AAdvantage mile for every dollar spent on qualifying Hyatt stay.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is THE top beginner card I recommend for miles & points. The travel protections it provides is top tier, too. Get this card early in your travel points journey, it's a keeper. It's the first card in my Three Year Plan.

But the good news is that points you'll earn are easy to redeem and it's also easy to keep earning them. Our favorite use is to transfer them to Hyatt for hotel stays but you can use them for cash back, for any travel expense, or for airlines. See more inspiration here and here.

It has a fun extra benefit through December 31, 2027: $10 a month for non-restaurant purchases at DoorDash. Read here how to use this benefit.

If you want to learn more about it, check out Season 1 of my podcast — I dive into the benefits and how to use the points.

The standard bonus used to be 60,000 points but 75,000 is the new standard offer (as of June 23, 2025) since the points are now worth less via Chase Travel.

  • Includes cell phone protection if you pay your bill with the card

  • Rotating quarterly categories earn 5x total points on up to $1,500 when activated.
  • Earn 5% back on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards
  • Earn 3% back on dining at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services) and drugstore purchases
  • Earn 1% back on all other purchases.

A great starter card from Chase mainly due to the bonus categories (5% back on rotating categories each quarter, on up to $1500 per quarter, 3% back on dining and drugstores) and decent welcome bonus.

Keep in mind that while this card is billed as earning cash back — it technically earns a limited type of Chase Ultimate Rewards®. But you can combine these points with other Chase Ultimate Rewards cards to be used with transfer partners and booking travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. So this card is ideally paired with a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card.

$200 (20k points) is the standard offer.
