My Take

This is a great way to boost your Ultimate Rewards® earnings! This is especially a great option for people who are just getting into points as they build credit or for college students.

If you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, you can transfer the Freedom points to the Sapphire card to get all the airline and hotel transfer benefits. You can even save up all the cash back you’re earning until you get a Sapphire card!

The standard welcome offer is $200 after you spend $500. An $250 offer ended in May 2025. A $300 offer ended on 1/15/26.
