Sapphire Reserve®: Stack 2026 Hotel Credits {MAP/CHART}

Categories: Credit Card BenefitsBy Last Updated: December 18, 2025

In 2026, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ are adding a new one-year $250 Hotel Credit. This is in addition to the The Edit Collection credits these cards already have.

The best part? You’ll be able to stack the credits to save $500 on a 2 night stay!

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • How to stack The Edit Collection credit with the new $250 Hotel Credit
  • A Dynamic Map and Chart to easily search for hotels that stack both credits
  • How to use multiple Edit Collection credits for a longer stay
  • Making the most of your booking with Points Boost
  • Step-by-step instructions for completing your bookings
  • Other ways to save on your trip

The $500 Edit Collection Credit

The Edit Collection is split into two $250 credits. To use it, you must book through Chase Travel and select a hotel that is noted as being part of the Edit Collection. You must book a 2 night stay with a pre-paid rate to qualify.

2025 Edit Collection Credit

In June 2025, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® was revamped and a new $500 hotel credit for The Edit Collection was added to the card. At the same time, a new card, Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, was also introduced that had this same benefit. At that point, the $500 hotel credit for The Edit collection was split into two credits bi-annually, on stays of 2 nights or more. This meant that you could use one $250 credit between January and June and the other $250 credit between July and December.

2026 Changes to The Edit Collection $500 Credit

Chase has announced that in 2026, The Edit Collection credit would now have more flexibility. It would still be split into two different $250 credits, but now you would have the ability to use both credits during any time of the year. Each credit still needs to be used to book a prepaid two-night or longer stay, but now you’d have the ability to use them back-to-back if that better suited your travel plans, potentially allowing you to book a 4 night stay, with two separate bookings.

Note: If you book back-to-back bookings you likely won’t receive the on-property credit twice.

2026 Only: $250 “Select Hotels” Credit

Chase has also announced that in 2026, the Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ would be gaining a new benefit — a $250 credit off of Select Hotels. The hotels included IHG Hotels & Resorts, Minor Hotels, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, and Virgin Hotels. We covered this in our Sapphire Reserve® Card Guide with a map to help you identify what hotels you could book with that credit.

The Stackable Hotel Credit Dynamic Map

Stacking Both Credits

The good news is that there will be the ability to stack one of your $250 The Edit Collection credits with your $250 Select Hotels Credit. The only problem is that, until now, it has been difficult to identify which hotels qualify for both credits. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered!

Using the map below, all hotels listed should qualify for both The Edit Collection credits as well as the $250 Select Hotels credit. Not only that, but we’ve made the map searchable by hotel name, city, state, country, brand, and you can use the price slider to easily see locations with the best deals.

Note: Prices listed on the map are off-season rates for standard rooms.

Use Your $300 Travel Credit

Unlike The Edit Collection and $250 Select Hotels credits, the $300 annual travel credit follows a cardmember year instead of a calendar year. This means that it becomes available on your account anniversary every year. This credit is not something you have to remember to use, necessarily. If you make any kind of travel purchase on your card, it is automatically credited, until your full $300 is used. However, if you have not yet used any or all of your credit, any uncredited amount that is used for your booking in cash, will be credited back to you, until you’ve reached your cap of $300.

If you haven’t used your travel credit and you book an Edit Collection hotel, you will receive both your Edit Collection credit and travel credit.

Use Points Boost to Book Any Remaining Cost After Credits

If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards Points available at the time of booking, this can really help you to save on any amount that is left on your booking by using the Points Boost feature. Once you have added the hotel stay to your cart in Chase Travel℠, on the following page, it allows you to use points you have available to pay for part or all of your booking. This is where it will show you the Points Boost rate that is available to you and it is generally between 1.65x and 2x.

PSA: Chase changed guaranteed Points Boost rates

Note: When The Edit collection benefit was first announced, landing pages clearly stated the Edit Collection bookings would have 2 cents per point redemptions via Points Boost. You can see that here via a screenshot of the WayBack Machine from this page on August 16, 2025.

That same page now reads “up to 2x” for Edit Collection hotels. This was a stealth devaluation for Edit Collection.

Here is a breakdown of what it could save you.

Example

Real World Example: The Math
Hotel Booking Total Cost (2 Nights): $700.00
The Edit Collection Credit: - $250.00
The Select Hotels Credit: - $250.00
Strategy: This means that you want to pay for at least $500 of the booking with your Sapphire Reserve as if you are paying in cash, and this will trigger those credits. (You will need to adjust this to be more if you are also planning to trigger some or all of your $300 travel credit).

Points Boost Savings

In this scenario, the remaining amount after hotel credits is $200. If you use available Ultimate Rewards points, these are the potential savings:

Paying Cash
$200
Out of Pocket
Points Boost (2x)
10,000 pts
$100 Cash Value
Points Boost (1.65x)
12,121 pts
$121 Cash Value

As you can see, this has the potential to save you a lot in comparison to paying in cash. Plus, if you pay for any remaining costs with points, you have the potential of completing this booking without coming out of pocket at all.

Plan to Use All of the extra Edit Collection Perks

Daily breakfast for 2

With this benefit, regardless of the length of your stay, if you book The Edit Collection hotels via Chase Travel℠, daily breakfast for 2 is included.

Room upgrade at check-in, if available

You’ll want to be careful using this benefit if you are stacking your Edit Collection credits on a back-to-back stay. For example, a room upgrade may be available for your first two-night stay, but not your second two-night stay. You should confirm with the hotel at time of check-in.

$100 property credit (includes dining, spa or other activities at the property)

If you are booking back-to-back stays, you may not be able to get this $100 property credit for each booking. Plan ahead, by reviewing hotel and spa activities, so you have an idea of how you might like to use this credit. Note that some properties actually have a $200 property credit. It will say when you book your hotel.

Other Sapphire Reserve Perks and Credits to Consider

Exclusive Tables Dining Credit

Every year, you will receive bi-annual credits of $150 (for a total of $300 each year) to use at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants. Currently, these locations are all in the US, but if you happen to book your hotel stay in one of these cities, this would be a great credit to take advantage of. Each of the cities listed below has a hotel from our map/chart above, and also has at least one restaurant available with Exclusive Tables.

Remember: You must connect your Sapphire Reserve to on the OpenTable app prior to your restaurant visit, and use your Sapphire Reserve to pay at the restaurant.

Dining Benefit Cities

Hotel Stack + Exclusive Tables Benefit Locations

A list of cities where you can take advantage of your Exclusive Tables benefit, the Edit Collection Credit, and the Select Hotels Credit. Tap a city twice to view Exclusive Tables restaurants on OpenTable

Lyft Benefits

If you’re not a regular user of rideshare transportation, it can be easy to forget that you have Lyft benefits that may come in handy on a trip. You get a $10 credit each month, so that will generally help to offset the cost of at least one ride. The other benefit is that when you use your Sapphire Reserve to pay for your Lyft ride, you’ll earn 5x points.

StubHub/Viagogo Credit

If you’re planning a getaway, why not see a game, go to a musical, or attend some other event while you are there? Just like the dining credits, you receive $150 bi-annually. If you don’t have specific plans for these credits, check to see if there is an event you’d enjoy during your stay.

DoorDash Benefits

With your DoorDash DashPass a $5 restaurant credit, and two $10 non-restaurant credits, the ability to order from DoorDash while you’re staying at a hotel can be handy for all kinds of reasons. It’s just nice to remember you have it if you need it.

The $1,000 “Quadruple Dip”: Saving on a Six-Night Trip – Use before 12/31

This is an option for those of you who have not used your Edit Collection credit in 2025, as long as you follow the first two steps below before the end of the year. This could also work in future years if you have unused credits at the end of a year, as long as there aren’t any changes to the terms. Let’s take a look at how you can use three Edit Collection credits and one Select Hotels credit for a six night vacation, saving $1,000 and hopefully not spending too much. Here’s how that could work for you:

1. Use the Map/Chart on this page

Find a reasonably priced hotel that qualifies for both The Edit Collection credits and the $250 Select Hotels credit.

2. Before December 31st, Book a 2-night stay in 2026

  • Example Dates: February 1-3
  • Credit Used: 2025 Edit Collection Credit of $250

If you haven’t used your Edit Collection credit in 2025 (or at the end of any year), you can use it for booking dates the following year. That’s because the credit is based on when you place the booking and not based on the dates of your stay. These are prepaid stays.

3. After January 1 – Book a 2-night stay at the same hotel

  • Example Dates: February 3-5
  • Credit Used: 2026 Edit Collection credit #1 of $250
  • Credit Used: 2026 $250 Select Hotels credit

4. After January 1 – Book another 2-night stay at the same hotel

  • Example Dates: February 5-7
  • Credit Used: 2026 Edit Collection credit #2 of $250

By using this method, you’ve booked six nights in a row at the same hotel and triggered $1,000 in credits.

Step-by-Step: How to Book Your “Double Stack” Stay

Now that you have your dates and your target hotel, here is exactly how to book it to ensure your credits trigger correctly.

Important: You must repeat these steps for each of your 2-night bookings where you are stacking The Edit Collection and your Select Hotels credits.

Step 1: Verify the Hotel on Our Map

Don’t rely on memory. Before you log in to Chase, check our Map/Chart above. Ensure your hotel is listed as a “Double Stack” property (meaning it qualifies for both The Edit and the new Select Hotel credit).

Step 2: Search on Chase Travel℠

Log in to your Chase Ultimate Rewards account and navigate to Chase Travel℠. Search for your specific hotel and dates.

  • What to look for: In the search results, look for the small “The Edit” logo next to the hotel name. If you don’t see this logo, the $250 Edit credit will not trigger.

Step 3: Select a “Prepaid” Rate

When choosing your room, you will often see multiple rate options.

  • The Rule: You must choose a “Prepaid” rate to trigger the credits.
  • Cancellation Policy: Even though it is “Prepaid,” many of these rates are still refundable until a few days before check-in. Double-check the cancellation terms in the fine print before clicking select.

Step 4: The “Cash + Points” tool if you have points available

On the final checkout screen, you will see a payment section that lets you split the cost between Points and Cash.

  1. Do NOT pay $0 cash. If you pay entirely with points, you will not have a charge to offset, and you won’t get the credit!
  2. The Cash Rule: If you are planning to pay with points and still want to trigger one or more credits, you should make sure the amount of your credit total is paid for in cash.
    • Why? You need a charge to hit your card so Chase can erase it with the statement credits.
    • The Bonus: The remaining balance is paid with points, often at a favored “Points Boost” rate (see below).

Step 5: Verify Resort Fees

Before you hit submit, look at the price breakdown. Chase Travel℠ usually collects Resort Fees upfront in the total.

  • Why this is good: Since the Resort Fee is part of the prepaid total, your $250 credit covers it! (If you booked with hotel points directly, you’d usually have to pay these fees out of pocket at the desk).

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Variations of Stacking Credits

We want you to use points and credits for things that you value. If stacking these credits for a six-night stay isn’t important to you, that’s okay! We just want you to see the maximum stack, but there are plenty of other variations.

As long as you understand the limitations of each credit and how to use them, you can get creative to make it work best for you.

Pros

Longer Stays

By stacking credits, it may open up longer trip opportunities for you. Choose from 2, 4, or 6 nights to get the most affordable stays. It could potentially make the most of other travel costs like flights.

More Savings

When you use the map or chart on this page to choose a hotel that qualifies for both credits, you have the ability to make The Edit Collection stays, affordable.

Cons

Possibly Having to Change Rooms

If you have multiple bookings at a hotel that are back-to-back, there is a good chance that the hotel will allow you to keep the same room throughout the stay. However, there is a chance that you may have to change rooms and you should clarify upon check-in so that you don’t have any surprises.

Seasonality of Best Deals

To get the most affordable deals on hotel stays, you will find the best rates available during the off seasons of each location. For example, I looked into a specific hotel from this list in Scotland. When I look during the low season, rates are just under $300 per night. But when I look in the beautiful summer season, the rates are over $500 per night.

Different Rates on Different Days of the Week

I noticed when booking three different stays that are back to back, that dates that cross over a weekend are significantly more expensive. When you make your first booking, be sure you’ve checked the prices for all the nights you’re wanting to stay, just so you don’t have any pricing surprises.

Pricing Changes Between Bookings

If I book a stay on December 20th and I don’t book my next two stays until after January 1st, there is a risk of the price changing. This could go up or down, but with so many hotels using dynamic pricing, there just isn’t any guarantee.

Action Plan

Whether you pull off the full “Quadruple Dip” in January or just save $500 on a special weekend getaway later in the year, this new benefit structure is a big win for families who want a taste of luxury without the luxury price tag.

Your Game Plan:

  1. Bookmark this page. You will need our Map & Chart when the new credits go live on Jan 1.
  2. Check your dates. If you want to book a longer trip, don’t miss the chance to use your 2025 credit now!
  3. Share the wealth. If you find an awesome deal on the map, drop a comment below or tag us on Instagram so we can share it with the community.

Travel doesn’t have to be expensive to feel exclusive. Happy stacking!
